Story
Who We Are
Calvary Community Church is an independent, non-denominational, and evangelical church. We are not tied to any given denomination. We are dedicated to spreading the love of Christ through prayer, fellowship, and teaching. For over 70 years, we have been serving rural communities in partnership with Village Missions (a rural home missions organization) we are still autonomous or self-governing. Calvary Community Church has been serving the Moapa Valley since 1949.

Calvary Community Church is a family. We are not an institution or organization simply running programs. We're a group of ordinary people who have in common a life-changing belief in an extraordinary person: the Lord Jesus Christ.
our purpose
Calvary Community Church exists to win people to Christ, equip them for His service, and build strong Christian individuals and families through vibrant Christ-centered worship, Biblical Teaching, Small Group Ministries, and Joyous Fellowship.
our goal
We are a Bible-teaching church that is passionate about truth, fellowship, teaching, and prayer. At Calvary Community Church, we know how important it is to have a church home in a rural community. We strive to create a welcoming environment that fosters growth and fellowship for all who walk through our doors. We pray that the message of this church, demonstration through the lives of godly everyday people, will produce a confidence in the community that our Lord lives here. Our goal is that the people of this community will see Calvary Community Church as a "beacon" transmitting a light available for their spiritual darkness and that they can find a warm welcome, a compassionate concern, a biblical message, and an authentic Christian community.
